Bryan O'Connell helps clients navigate some of life's most difficult transitions with steady guidance, thoughtful advocacy, and practical solutions. He understands that legal issues involving marriage, children, and family relationships can be overwhelming, and he is committed to helping clients move forward with confidence and clarity.
 
Before joining Gevurtz Menashe, Bryan represented clients in a wide range of contested and uncontested family law cases throughout Oregon. He also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable R. Curtis Conover in Lane County Circuit Court, where he gained valuable insight into the judicial process. Known for his calm demeanor and strong work ethic, Bryan believes preparation is one of the most important factors in achieving successful outcomes. He works closely with clients to ensure they understand their options, feel supported throughout the process, and are well-positioned to tell their story effectively.
 
Bryan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Oregon Review of International Law and received the Ibrahim Gassama Award for Editorial Excellence. He earned his bachelor's degree in English, cum laude, from Portland State University.
 
Outside the office, Bryan enjoys reading, cooking, running, and exploring great food. He is also active in the community and has volunteered with Oregon Law Center's Senior Law Service program and served on the board of NAMI Lane County.
